I swore I would never be one of those mothers. You know the kind. They let their kids drag around those blankets. Tattered and torn. Loved beyond recognition. What color was it originally? No one quite remembers. And then it happened...over time. I became one of them.
I was sitting at the sewing machine last week hemming some pants for Austin and Clayton when Adam came up to me. "Mom," he asked, "Do you think you could fix my blanket?" Are you kidding? I would climb Mt. Everest for him. Backwards.
So the journey to repair the blanket began...

I started by trimming off all of the edges. Not one was spared.

Oh how cute! How I wish Anna could play with Adam. And what a good mom you are to fix his blanket like that!
Sweet mommy award to you tonight!
How sweet is that?! He looks so happy :) What a lucky boy to have a mom that would go backwards up Mt Everest. (AND fix his blanket to boot!)
How sweet! You did a great job.
I wish I could sew. I am one of those Mothers, my poor daughters edges are hanging half off of her blankie...
A wanna-be photographer? I think you are already being one! I saw your post on my site today and had to come see yours. What sweet photos of your son and his blanket! Your site looks really good. Where do you get that counter? And yes, PW is awesome. She is clever and knows how to market herself. Great combo. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Yipee, I did it at Statcounter.com (I think). Thanks for the advice.
*Hides a blush* I still keep my own baby blanket under the pillow...my poor mother.
HOW DO YOU DO IT ALL? I just had to shout that question? So, how do you do it all? I need an answer. You are amazing.
